The UtilityCore is a Power Core optimized for civilian and commercial infrastructure within residential bunkers. It generates electrical energy through the same Asherite crystal lattice collapse-and-reformation process as other Power Cores, but is scaled for the distributed, lower-power demands of homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, and public services. UtilityCores power the essential systems that sustain daily life in the underground cities: lighting, climate control, appliances, communications, and commercial equipment.

The core's performance follows the standard tier-based progression. Slate-tier UtilityCores provide baseline power for five to ten years, sufficient for standard residential units and small businesses in middle and working-class areas. Amber-tier cores deliver three to five times the power output and operate for twenty to thirty years, supporting larger commercial operations, elite residential districts, and facilities with higher energy demands. Crimson-tier cores generate ten to twenty times the power of Slate and function for fifty to one hundred years, reserved for critical civilian infrastructure such as hospitals, data hubs, and government buildings where uninterrupted power is essential. UtilityCores are distributed throughout residential bunkers, with placement and capacity reflecting the class segregation of bunker levels — higher levels with cleaner air and wealthier residents have access to more reliable and higher-tier UtilityCore power, while lower levels rely on older or lower-tier cores.
