The SewageTreatment facility is a critical component of every bunker's waste infrastructure, designed to process all wastewater and solid waste generated by the bunker population. The facility operates through a multi-stage treatment process that separates and processes different waste streams. Wastewater undergoes filtration, biological treatment, and chemical processing to remove contaminants and pathogens, producing clean water that is returned to the bunker's water distribution system for reuse. Solid waste is processed through decomposition and stabilization methods to produce fertilizer for Agricultural Bunkers, completing the nutrient cycle between consumption and food production.

The facility is integrated with the WasteIncineration system for managing non-recyclable waste streams. SewageTreatment workers are classified as essential personnel, operating in challenging conditions within lower bunker levels or dedicated waste processing zones. The system's reliability is essential for bunker survival — any significant disruption can rapidly create public health crises and resource shortages. The Engineering Corps maintains SewageTreatment infrastructure, while the Medical Corps monitors for biological hazards and contamination risks.
