The ReactorCore is the largest class of Power Core, designed for city-scale power generation within bunker infrastructure. It operates through engineered pressure applied to refined Asherite crystals, forcing the crystal lattice into controlled collapse and subsequent reformation. Each collapse releases electrical energy, and continuous cycling of this process generates usable power. The ReactorCore is housed within the SurfaceBuilding of each bunker, a heavily fortified above-ground structure that serves simultaneously as a train station, defensive fortress, and power generation facility.
The ReactorCore's operational lifespan and power output are determined by the tier of Asherite used in its construction. Slate-tier cores provide baseline power for five to ten years before depletion. Amber-tier cores produce three to five times the power of Slate and operate for twenty to thirty years. Crimson-tier cores generate ten to twenty times the power of Slate and function for fifty to one hundred years. Upon failure, the catastrophic consequences scale with the core's tier: Slate cores produce localized explosions, Amber cores destroy buildings, and Crimson cores cause city-level destruction comparable to a nuclear detonation.
