PropulsionCore

The PropulsionCore is a specialized Power Core engineered specifically for transportation applications across Asherfall's extensive transit infrastructure. It generates electrical energy through the same fundamental mechanism as all Power Cores — controlled collapse and reformation of refined Asherite crystal lattices — but is optimized for the variable power demands of moving vehicles rather than stationary infrastructure. The PropulsionCore is integrated into trains, ground vehicles, and the limited military aircraft fleet, providing the energy required for propulsion, onboard systems, and environmental controls.

The core's performance and longevity follow the standard tier-based progression of all Power Cores. Slate-tier PropulsionCores provide baseline power for five to ten years, suitable for standard freight and passenger operations. Amber-tier cores deliver three to five times the power output and operate for twenty to thirty years, enabling heavier cargo capacity and longer operational ranges. Crimson-tier cores generate ten to twenty times Slate power and function for fifty to one hundred years, reserved for military applications and critical logistics operations where reliability and performance are paramount. The RailwayNetwork, encompassing thousands of kilometers of rail lines spanning all six Collectives, depends on PropulsionCore technology for its continued operation.
