PowerCore

A PowerCore is a device that converts refined Asherite into usable electrical energy through engineered pressure that forces the crystal lattice into controlled collapse and reformation. Each collapse releases electrical energy, and continuous cycling generates sustained power output. Repeated cycling slowly degrades the crystal until it becomes unusable, with higher-tier Asherite withstanding more cycles before failure. PowerCores are classified into five types based on application: ReactorCore for city-scale power generation, PropulsionCore for transportation, UtilityCore for civilian infrastructure, TacticalCore for military applications, and MicroCore for personal devices.

PowerCores are manufactured from refined Asherite in IndustrialBunkers, primarily by Ferrion. The cores are tiered based on Asherite purity: Slate provides baseline power with a two-year lifespan, Amber provides three to five times Slate power with a five-year lifespan, and Crimson provides ten to twenty times Slate power with a ten-year lifespan. Core failure consequences scale with tier: Slate causes localized explosions, Amber causes building-level destruction, and Crimson causes city-level catastrophe. PowerCores are the foundation of Collective technology, powering everything from bunker infrastructure to personal BlueLinks.
