PassengerTrain

The PassengerTrain is a civilian transport vehicle designed for safe, comfortable travel between bunkers across the RailwayNetwork. The train is climate-controlled to protect passengers from temperature extremes encountered on surface routes, and features basic amenities including seating, restrooms, and limited food services. PassengerTrains operate on scheduled routes connecting all bunkers across the six Collectives, providing essential mobility for citizens traveling for work, family visits, commerce, and government business. The trains are powered by PropulsionCores, with performance and reliability depending on the core tier installed.

PassengerTrains are distinct from FreightTrains and ArmoredTrains in their primary focus on civilian comfort and safety. While they lack the heavy armor and weapon systems of military trains, they are constructed with reinforced materials to withstand Ash-fog corrosion and minor creature attacks. The trains operate on the TrainSystem's scheduling framework, with security coordination provided by the Security Corps and Surface Operations Corps for surface routes. TravelDocuments are required for inter-bunker travel and are verified through BlueLink upon boarding. PassengerTrains are operated collectively by all six Collectives through the TrainSystem, reflecting the shared infrastructure of the RailwayNetwork.
