MicroCore

The MicroCore is the smallest class of Power Core, engineered specifically for personal devices and portable electronics. It generates electrical energy through the same Asherite crystal lattice collapse-and-reformation mechanism as all Power Cores but is miniaturized to fit within wrist-mounted devices, medical sensors, and other personal equipment. The MicroCore is most notably integrated into every citizen's BlueLink, providing the power necessary for biometric authentication, communication, digital storage, and BlueNet connectivity.
The core's performance follows the standard tier-based progression, though the small form factor limits the practical application of higher tiers. Slate-tier MicroCores provide baseline power for five years, standard for most citizen BlueLinks and civilian personal devices. Amber-tier cores deliver three to five times the power output and operate for twenty to thirty years, used in high-performance personal devices for elite citizens, critical medical monitoring equipment, and specialized field equipment. Crimson-tier cores generate ten to twenty times Slate power and function for fifty to one hundred years, though their rarity and cost make them impractical for most personal applications. The BlueLink's MicroCore is replaceable after its five-year lifespan, and the device retains limited offline functionality for up to seventy-two hours if the core is depleted or removed.
