FreightTrain

The FreightTrain is an armored bulk cargo transport vehicle designed for moving essential resources across the RailwayNetwork. The train is constructed with reinforced armor to protect its cargo from Ash-fog corrosion, creature attacks, and environmental hazards encountered on surface routes. FreightTrains carry the lifeblood of Collective economies: raw Asherite from mines, refined Power Cores from IndustrialBunkers, food from AgriculturalBunkers, ammunition and medical supplies from manufacturing facilities, and other critical resources. The trains are powered by PropulsionCores, with higher-tier cores enabling heavier cargo capacity and longer operational ranges.

FreightTrains operate on the TrainSystem's logistics framework, with schedules coordinated by the Logistics Corps to ensure efficient resource distribution. The trains are distinct from PassengerTrains in their cargo focus and from ArmoredTrains in their lack of integrated weapon systems, though they are armored for protection. Military escorts from the Surface Operations Corps are standard for surface routes, particularly when carrying high-value cargo such as Crimson Asherite or strategic military supplies. FreightTrains are the backbone of inter-Collective trade and mutual dependence, as no single Collective produces all resources necessary for survival.
