DataHub

The DataHub is a regional data processing, routing, and storage facility that forms a critical component of the BlueNet infrastructure. It manages network traffic across its designated region, stores regional data including government records, commercial transactions, and research archives, and provides the connection point between RelayNodes and the FiberBackbone for long-distance communication. DataHubs are distributed throughout the bunker system, with larger facilities serving multiple bunkers and smaller regional hubs operating within individual bunkers.

The DataHub operates under the technical standards set by the BlueNet Standards Council, ensuring interoperability across all six Collectives. Data processed through the hub includes BlueLink communications, government information, research databases, social platform activity, news broadcasts, and commercial transactions. The facilities are protected by multiple security layers, including physical access controls, cyber security systems, and continuous monitoring by the Intelligence Bureau. DataHub personnel are subject to strict clearance requirements, reflecting the sensitivity of the data they handle. Any significant disruption to a DataHub can impact regional network performance, as the hub provides the critical routing and processing functions that enable BlueNet connectivity.
