CombatArmor

Armor

CombatArmor is the standard-issue modular body armor system worn by all Collective military personnel across all branches. The armor consists of a base undersuit with attachment points for interchangeable protective plates, allowing soldiers to configure their protection level based on mission requirements. The modular design enables rapid replacement of damaged components and adaptation to different threat environments, from urban bunker operations to full surface deployments. The armor provides ballistic protection, fragmentation resistance, and limited Ash-fog filtration, with integrated tactical systems including communication nodes, medical monitors, and equipment attachment points.

The armor is issued to Security Corps, Surface Operations Corps, and other military branches as standard equipment. CombatArmor is distinct from PoweredArmor in that it lacks powered exoskeleton systems, relying on the soldier's own physical capabilities for movement and strength. Maintenance and repair are performed by Engineering Corps technicians. The armor's modular design allows for field repairs and component replacement, ensuring operational readiness even in prolonged combat situations.
